The DESTILLIERMEISTER E3620H Supreme is an easy-to-use distillation unit for essential oils, crafted from Supreme-grade stainless steel. The continuously adjustable aroma sieve allows the quantity of plant material to be varied. However, care should be taken to ensure that the thickness of the plant layer is not too small, as otherwise there is a risk that the steam will pass through without extracting the essential oils. This distillation unit is therefore more suited to larger quantities of plant material. The rule is: smaller quantities require lower heating power.

With a total volume of 36 litres, this model is the best value for money available at this level of quality. The spherical helmet ensures optimal steam concentration within the rising tube. As a general rule, it is recommended that the plant material reaches as close as possible to the opening of the rising tube within the helmet and that the helmet is insulated, for example with a blanket, to reduce losses due to condensate dripping back. However, it is also advisable to insulate the riser tube and the walls of the kettle above the aroma sieve from the outside; this increases the yield and also saves heating energy. A built-in, high-quality stainless-steel thermometer, accurate to the nearest degree, is included as standard.

Note:

For such a large cross-section, a high-powered gas burner of at least 15 kW is required. For hobby use, it is advisable to choose units with a smaller bubble cross-section.

Construction

1. 36-litre water/steam boiler made from heavy, solid aisi 304 stainless steel, suitable for induction and all other heating sources. The internal diameter of the kettle is 36 cm.
   1. 6 clamping fasteners for a tight seal on the distillation head.
2. Distillation head for steam concentration.
   1. 1" stainless steel screw connection, conical seal.
3. Distillation module with counter-current cooling.

This still may also be used legally by private individuals in Germany, provided it is not used to produce alcohol. However, it must be registered, as the kettle has a capacity of more than 2 litres.
